Alfonso “Chito” Zulueta has been promoted to senior vice president and president of the Emerging Markets business at Eli Lilly and Co., effective Jan. 1, 2014. Mr. Zulueta replaces Jacques Tapiero who will retire after 31 years with the company.   Mr. Zulueta has served as president and general manager of Lilly Japan since 2008.
